The owner's manual and warning labels contain information on safe operation of the mulcher. You should read the manual before attempting to start or use the mulcher.

Wear appropriate safety equipment. As a minimum standard you should wear safety glasses, ear muffs and gloves. Loose clothing is a hazard and should be avoided.

Inspect the mechanical condition of the mulcher before use to minimize the chance of injury.

Keep children and others out of the way of the mulcher when in use. Use witches' hats to cordon off the mulching area.

Keep hands and limbs clear of all chutes and hoppers when the mulcher is in operation.

Do not attempt to mulch material that is too large to fit in the hopper.

Do not attempt to mulch metal, rope, material, glass or plastic.

Do not attempt to mulch hot or smouldering material.

Mulchers are not to be operated by anyone under the age of 16 years.

Handle fuel with care: it is highly flammable.

Do not operate vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
