Automotive Engineering and Technology Unit 1B
Automotive Engineering and Technology Unit 1B is a basic introduction to automotive instruction. In nine learning activities students learn about the fundamentals of the internal combustion engine including its cooling, transmission, tyres, fuel and electrical systems. Students learn how these systems work, how they fit together within the overall functioning of a vehicle and how to complete minor repairs and maintenance. AET Unit 1B also looks at the car’s role in society, from the invention of the first cars to its importance today, with close attention to environmental considerations shaping the car of the future.
