Switch to CE6!

On December 18, 2008 WebCT was shut down and replaced with Blackboard Campus Edition 6 (CE6).

How does this affect lecturers?

Many Lecturers have already made the switch, but for those who haven’t you now must do so. Read the Switch to CE6 (PDF) brochure for more information.

To begin using CE6, contact your College CE6 Administrator and request a course be created for you. You have two options:

• Have a blank course created. You can then upload content and set up the appropriate tools and colour scheme for your unit.
• Copy a course from the list of WestOne Master Courses. To view available courses, visit the WestOne Product Catalogue and search for “Online” format products.

Once your course is ready to go, log in to the CE6 Administration Interface to enrol your students. You can then log in to CE6 and begin delivering your course!

Log in to CE6 using your college username and password – the same as those you use to log into ASRI.

What does this mean for students?

CE6 officially kicks off in Semester 1, 2009. Make your life easier by bookmarking or adding to your Favourites this website: http://mywebct.westone.wa.gov.au

Use the Browser Check to make sure your system is up to scratch for using CE6. Once you have done that, log on using your college username and password – the same ones you use for Student Portal.
